THE CLOVES AND THE TOBACCO LYRICS

"McGregore Was A Sailor"

There’s old McGregore tell his son about his past
They sit on the bridge and they drink a whiskey
When he was asailor he was only 19
Now he’s 60 years old when he telling about his story
Young McGregore comes to the dock with no money
With he’s spirit and courage he wanna be free
Then McGregore join with a ship called Queen Marry
He start his voyage, set his sail to the sea
Standing on the deck of the ship
His eyes look to the horizon
Never worry bout what will happened latter on
He will face it all
Someday the Queen Marry with the cargos of gold
And six tons of tobaccos they took from the new world
When McGregore climb to the top sail he saw
A Jolly Roger flag from behind a thick fog
Suddenly the canon blast
All of the pirates attack so fast
McGregore and all of Queen Marry’s crew defend
As long as they can, finnaly they’ve surrender
But McGregore was still alive
He jump from the deck and hanging on the wreck
Dragged to the shore
